Slightly cooler.

7th April 2024

Winter still holds on, high on Ben Nevis, and I suspect, also high on the East faces of Aonach Mor and Aonach Beag. The recent thaw, and heavy rain Friday night and through Saturday has severely diminished the snowpack.

Forecast is for more settled weather tomorrow, as the winds ease and freezing level will remain around 950 metres, allowing what’s left to firm up slightly and consolidate.
