Fluctuating temperatures

24th March 2023

Today was a day of showers which fell as a mixture of snow and rain as the temperature fluctuated.  A warm spell during the night saw rain to around 1100 metres. This morning it was snowing to around 950 metres. As I walked across the plateua at 1200 metres on Anoach Mor around midday today precipitation was alternating between snow and rain. It has then remained mild this afternoon with the freezing level due to drop through the night as the winds turn North-Easterly and another cold spell begins.

Looking across Coire Dubh. Evidence of roller ball activity and some minor cornice collapse since I was here yesterday, most likley in the warmer temperatures and rain last night.

Looking across some of the crags in Coire an Lochain.

Looking across the top of easy gully to the crags on the South side of the gully.

Poor visibility at the summit today so limited photos of views just foot prints going into the distance.
