After a cold and frosty night it was lovely and clear first thing. However, the cloud soon started building, and by the time I reached the summit of Aonach Mor it was very much in the cloud. Although cloudy it remained generally dry.

It had clouded over by around 9.30am. The hills out to the West could be seen catching the sun.

The view over Loch Eil to the hill of Ardgour which seemed to enjoy clearer conditions. Mist covers the loch, not an unusual occurrence after a cold still winter’s night.

Looking up Aonach Mor just before the top disappeared into the cloud.

The view from the summit plateau. The top of the summit tow well coated in snow and ice.
