Stormy!

16th March 2020

It was very windy high up in Lochaber today. There were a few spells of watery sunshine in the morning, but it was evident that the weather was coming in. A band of precipitation reached the area around midday. There is likely to be a period of instability later this afternoon as the freezing level rise to around the summit level. The snowpack is likely to stabilise a bit overnight as the freezing level drops, before rising again tomorrow as more snow falls.

Hopefully calming down weather wise later in week.

Looking over to Carn Mor Dearg.

The view into Coire an Lochan.

Threatening skies over Ben Nevis.

The Top of Easy Gully was collecting the fresh snow.

The light was quite atmospheric. Snow blowing off the top of the crags.
