Another warm period

8th February 2019

Temperatures rose this morning and snow turned to rain. The weather was initially showery but then very windy and wet. It was hard work walking in the soft, wet snowpack and snowshoes were useful.

Debris was observed from an avalanche in the Castle Gullies on Ben Nevis which probably occurred earlier in the day.
