The Imminent Return of the Pest from the West.

20th March 2018

It was another fine cold  and settled day in Lochaber today. However, high cloud  to the South and West was indicating that things are likely to change imminently. Having had (and quite enjoyed) the Beast from the East, I have decided this more typical damp Atlantic weather system should be dubbed the Pest from the West!

Plenty of snow looking over towards the Grey Coires.

Coire an Lochan with the sun glinting off the hard and icy snowpack. A strip of less reflective windslab can be seen to below the crags in the middle of the shot. An old crown can be seen in the middle/right of the picture.

Looking South West to the Mamores and Glen Coe hills behind.

Looking South with the high clouds starting to build.

Aonach Beag and the hills to the South East.

Coire an Lochan catching the sunshine.

Really enjoy the blogs of the winter mountains, thanks! I miss them out here in Africa…
