Cold and Windy

18th March 2018

It was another cold day with strong Easterly winds. Little change in the snowpack, being generally firm but with a few areas of windslab.

Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis. The Mamores are just above visible in the gap on the left.

Most of the snowpack is firm. There are some deposits of windslab which tend not to be extensive.  In the correct light it is easy to tell the two different types of snow apart.

It tended to clear up through the day. There were a few very light snow showers around.
