Snow low down and windy high up

22nd March 2017

It was a nice dry day today. Fresh snow at lower elevations but as you get above 450m the lying snow becomes less uniform due to yesterdays stronger winds. Up high, the wind is causing some redistribution of the existing fresh snow and some souring of East aspects. Some deeper accumulations higher up making progress slow and tiring at times.
