Snow (if you go high enough)

31st January 2017

It was a wet day at lower levels. Most of the thin layer of soft snow that has been making the hills look more wintery for the last few days has now been washed away. Above around 1050 metres there was little fresh snow.

Looking up the Allt a’ Mhuilinn. Most of the soft thin snow cover has now melted.

Carn Dearg buttress and Castle Gullies.

Mostly old snow in Coire na Ciste, Ben Nevis.

North-East Buttress and Tower Ridge. The cloud base rose to reveal a little fresh snow
