Winter lurks high on the Ben

29th December 2016

Walking up the Allt a Mhullin today the Ben was not looking the most wintery. However, in the back of Coire na Ciste things were looking a bit more wintry with some ice remaining. However, I am not sure whether this will be able to survive tomorrow’s rain.

The view up the Allt a Mhullin was not overly promising in terms of winter conditions.

A bt of ice in Point Five Gully, but not much apparent on this side of the mountain.

Looking a wee more wintry in the back of Coire na Ciste. See debris from a recent cornice collapse can be seen off to the right of the caterpillar of people.
