Icy Rime
8th February 2015
Today the tops were also covered in a layer of thick, damp cloud. Â The freezing level was around 1200 metres. At that level objects such as my ski poles were quickly covered in a layer clear icy rime. However, it was only very slightly below freezing and any object emitting a slight bit of heat such as people, were warm enough for the rime to melt and for me to get rather wet.
