Poor visibility

6th April 2019

This morning the surface of the snowpack was frozen hard above around 900 metres and soft and slowly thawing below this. During the day the freezing level rose. There was some precipitation, falling as rain, sleet or snow depending on how high you were, but no significant accumulations of fresh snow. Visibility was very poor in the cloud above around 800 metres.

Aonach Mor from the North. Better snow cover but very poor visibility higher up.
