Happy Christmas

25th December 2017

Well, it was a white Christmas above around 700m on Aonach Mor but there was no depth to the new snow cover.

For a while this morning as I walked up the Northern slopes of Aonach Mor the view North-Westwards looked like this; then the cloud built in the glens and rose up to mid-levels.

Although there was a cover of fresh snow accumulations were not significant.

Whilst on the hill today I didn’t see any people but I did see Ptarmigan and Mountain Hares.  In the thin cover of fresh snow there was plenty of evidence of Mountain Hare activity.
