The Grey Corries
2nd March 2024
A very cloudy day in the Lochaber area today, pea soup above c.600 metres. Snow is consolidating at lower elevations but remain cold with localised instabilities above c.1000 metres.
Above: the corbett Cruach Innse (857m) before becoming engulfed fully in cloud.
Above: fairly typical snow cover at c.800m. This was consolidating slowly as the day progressed.
Above: summit ridge of Stob Coire Gaibhre (958m), a Munro Top.
Above: the ‘Wee Minister’ who is said to bring good luck to climbers and walkers.
Above: the Eastern flank of Stob an Chul Choire.
Above: the magnificent King of British mountains – Ben Nevis who decided to shrug off any cloud early evening.
