More snow
14th March 2026
There were snow showers overnight and during the day with a few brighter moments in between. The wind was a bit lighter than yesterday which resulted in softer but still unstable windslab in sheltered locations. There were fragile cornices mainly above North through East to South-East aspects. Slopes expose to the wind were scoured and icy.
Photos from Aonach Mor below.
The remains of a cornice at the top of Easy Gully. Most of this cornice had collapse triggering an avalanche below.
Quite a few ski tourers out today. There were also a good number of mountaineers heading for the West face this morning.
