More poor visibility

16th February 2026

It was another day of snow showers and poor visibility. The wind was fairly light but veered from the South-West to the North-West causing the temperature to drop. Poor stability was observed in recent windslab.

Northerly winds tonight and tomorrow will bring cold conditions with snow showers this evening and a dry and hopefully sunny day tomorrow.

Photos all from Aonach Mor.

The top of Easy Gully.

Poor visibility but just possible to see the difference between the snow and the sky.

The cornices at the top of Coire an Lochan were hard to see and harder to photograph.

The summit tower has a lot of rime on all sides of it as a result of the variable recent wind directions.

A good number of people enjoying the snow despite poor visibility even at 650 metres.
