Web Cam images

5th March 2024

It was a dry day with strong and gusty South-Easterly wind. The freezing level was around 1000 metres. There were some nice sunny spells down in the glens, but it remained cloudy and grey on the top through the day. Unfortunately due to some camera issues (or perhaps it was issues with the user of the camera) I didn’t get any photos. However, that is therefore a good opportunity to highlight some of the webcams that I use regularly when forecasting in Lochaber, with all the images from today.

The two are from the Nevis Range and can be found at https://www.nevisrange.co.uk/webcams/. There are four webcams, the two the I tend to use the most are Pine Martin and Goose Up. Over on Ben Nevis there is now a webcam on the CIC hut which is associated with the holfuy weather station there and is found at https://holfuy.com/en/camera/1746

Nevis Range Pine Martin webcam which shows Aonach Mor from the Nevis Range carpark.

Nevis Range Goose Up does what it title suggests and looks up the Goose from an altitude of about 830m. There is also a Goose Down options which can be handy at times, but does not seem to be working at the moment.

The view from the CIC hut this morning from the holfuy station there.
