Sunny spells

29th March 2024

After a bright and sunny start, high cloud developed over the area, plenty of sunny spells though and the opportunity to look at snow cover across the area. Moderate South-Westerly winds today  and the freezing level rose to around 1200 metres.

Scattered showers are forecast tomorrow with a drier day to follow for Easter Sunday.

Looking South across the top of Easy Gully to some of the crags in Coire an Lochain, Aonach Mor. Localised areas of windslab (lighter) visible next to the older snow (darker). Despite the recent Easterly winds some pockets of windslab remain on North and North-East aspects, these are consolidating in the milder temperatures.
