Slightly cooler today

The freezing level dropped to around 1100 metres this morning and there was a dusting of fresh snow. Unfortunately it gets warm again tonight. The freezing level then drops below the summits again tomorrow afternoon but there’s another warm blip to come on Wednesday before sub zero temperatures at summit level for the remainder of the week.

A trace of fresh snow at 1100 metres.
Slightly more fresh snow at 1200 metres.
Poor visibility at the top of Coire an Lochan.
The temperature at 1200 metres drops to below zero Celsius for the first time in nearly 5 days.
