A Calm Clear Day

29th January 2024

Today was calm and clear with very good views. A welcome respite from the recent windy weather. A chance to get up high today and see the remaining snow and ice, high up in the Lochaber area. The snow surface has refrozen and is hard and icy in all locations and is expected to remain that way.

Another relatively calm day tomorrow although winds are increasing through the day as winder conditions return on Tuesday night and remain through Wednesday. Snow above 900 metres is expected on Wednesday with a brief milder spell in the middle of the day, much milder temperatures are forecast for Thursday.
