A white Christmas

25th December 2023

Christmas day dawned with high cloud and a good view of the Lochaber hills which had only small isolated patches of old snow and the tiniest dusting of new snow. It started snowing at quite low levels as I ascended Aonach Mor with showers throughout the day but only falling as snow above around 900 metres in the afternoon.

Wishing all readers a Merry Christmas!

Aonach Mor this morning before today’s snow.

Snow started falling to low levels as I ascended.

Snow on Sgurr Finniosgaig. It was raining at this height when I descended so this snow might be gone now.

Nevis Range Summit run. Old and new snow in the shelter of the snow fence here.
