Bad timing

24th February 2023

After a clear start to the day, my arrival on the plateau of Aonach Mor coincided with that of the cloud so views were limited. Once I was back down the cloud lifted and the sun came out.

After an overnight warming the temperature then dropped and the recent shallow snow accumulations now have a breakable crust. The older snowpack is generally firm.
