Back to Mild and Damp

22nd January 2022

After a few cooler days (I would not go as far to say cold), it was a return to milder conditions today. It was cloudy with some light rain at times. With a large high pressure system seemingly anchored over the South of the UK, it does not look like there will be a significant change in the weather patters any time soon. Perhaps a bit cooler on Monday and Tuesday, then a return to milder conditions after that. However, with no significant snowfall in the forecast (yet), there is not likely to be much change in the general avalanche situation in the immediate future.

Today, mild and damp but thankfully not too wet.

Dribbles of ice which have formed over the past few days were dripping and melting.
