Another mild and damp day.

13th January 2022

It was another mild and damp day in Lochaber today. The snowpack is thawing at all levels. Tomorrow is looking similarly mild, but hopefully it might be a bit drier with better visibility.

Debris on top of the snowpack. How did that get there, well I will let you work it out.

The debris from Monday’s Number 5 Gully avalanche.

The view in Coire na Ciste, very murky!

Some of the debris from Monday’s Number 2 Gully avalanche. This avalanche was bigger than the Number 5 Gully avalanche, but due to the poor conditions today it was hard to get all the debris in, what you can see here is just a fraction on it.
