Sunshine!

13th March 2020

It was a sunny morning with some cloud over the summits in the afternoon. There was enough wind from the South-South-East to cause some redistribution of the recent soft snow. There were plenty of people at Nevis Range out enjoying the good conditions.

Plenty of pictures today…

Ben Nevis this morning.

Carn Mor Dearg with Ben Nevis behind.

Looking over the col between Aonach Mor and Carn Mor Dearg towards the Mamores.

Coire an Lochan looking South from Easy Gully.

Looking down into Coire an Lochan with the Grey Corries behind.

Cornices above Coire an Lochan.

The top of the summit cairn on Aonach Mor can just be seen beside my right pole with the snow currently higher than that where my left pole is.

Summit Gully.

One large and several other bits of cornice below Spikes, Aonach Mor.

Coire an Lochan

Coire Dubh was popular today.

Fantastic pictures of Coire an Lochan. How deep would you say the snow is there ? More than an average winter.?Looks similar to the snowy one of 2015.
