Dusting of Fresh.

6th February 2018

Although it never quite cleared on the tops, it was quite pleasant at lower levels. There had been a dusting of snow overnight. This had deposited a few shallow areas of quite unstable fresh windslab. Some large and unstable cornices remain.

Large cornices.

Cracking back from the cornice at the top of Easy Gully. Skiers contemplate dropping into Easy Gully.

Coire an Lochan.

Looking up at the cornice at the South End of Coire an Lochan. I saw evidence of some recent cornice collapse not too far way from here.
