Wintery sunshine.

20th December 2017

An early start this morning was rewarded with clear skies and some lovely light on Aonach Mor this morning. A lost of snow has disappeared in the thaw. However, today it was at least a bit colder than of late, and at higher levels the snow was beginning to form an icy crust. Unfortunately it looks like remaining mild for a few days yet.

Nice morning light looking south from the top of Spikes Gully.

Unstable cornices, and evidence of recent cornice collapse.
