A dusting of fresh snow

13th April 2017

Some fresh snow on the hills overnight down to around 750 metres slowly melted at lower levels during the day but remained above around 1000 metres. Light snow showers at summit level tomorrow with moderate Westerly winds. With reasonably cold temperatures forecast over the coming weekend the higher remaining areas of old snow will often be frozen hard.
