Light winds and more snow.

7th February 2017

Light snow fell all day today with light Northerly winds at most levels becoming moderate at summit level. Todays snowfall has given an even cover on all aspects, but hides what lies underneath – windslab, drifts, rocks, bare patches etc. with poor visibility not helping either.

There were quite a few people out enjoying themselves today –  skiers, snowboarders, telemarkers, ski tourers, climbers, walkers and snowman builders to name a few that I saw.

Everything looks white but cover is thin in places.

Better snow cover but worse visibility higher up.

It was good to see people out enjoying the snow.
