Warm, wet, and windy Christmas Day

25th December 2016

As storm Conor approaches it is bringing warm, wet and very windy weather. The existing snow is melting fast but snow remains above around 600 metres where it has formed deeper drifts in sheltered areas.

The temperature is forecast to start dropping this afternoon and snow should fall overnight and tomorrow, although the strong winds are continuing.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!
