Thawing!

It was very warm overnight with some heavy rain. Many crags now black and areas which had a thin covering of snow are now bare. Debris from overnight avalanches noted this morning – pictures and further details below. It’s forecast to be a bit colder tomorrow before another warm period.
Coire na Ciste, Ben Nevis. Compare with yesterdays blog picture to see snow loss.
The Allt a’ Mhuilinn was difficult to cross today.
Debris below No.2 Gully, Ben Nevis from last night sometime.
Debris in Coire Leis below the Carn Mor Dearg Arete.
It got a bit brighter in the afternoon in between the showers.
Aonach Mor. Still good cover on the upper mountain but lower ski runs melting.
