Even more sunshine.

8th April 2015

It was another pleasant spring day in Lochaber, I could get use to these conditions. The snowpack firmed up overnight.  However, it soon softened up in the high temperatures and strong sunshine. There was plenty of evidence of cornice collapse (and plenty more to come done), and even a full depth avalanche.

Some weak cornices remain. ONly a matter of time before these ones drop off.

A recent full depth avalanche on Stob Coire Bhealaich.
