What remains.

24th February 2012

I think that it is fair to say that it has been pretty mild and wet over the past few days and walking up by the Allt a Mhuilinn this morning, there didn’t appear to by much snow or ice left on Ben Nevis. However, up in Coire na Ciste conditions it was looking a bit more wintery. The snowpack is firming up in the colder temperature, and from what I could see through the cloud there looked like reasonable ice on routes like The Gutter, The White Line, The Cascade, Number 3 Gully Buttress, and some of gullies on Creag Coire na Ciste. I would say there were about 20 people out climbing.
