12th January 2007

Today was a really wet day on the hill. Strong winds, heavy rain and mild temperatures have saturated the snowpack. The cornices above many routes on Aonach Mor on Ben Nevis are quite unstable at the moment. The forecast is for cooler temperature tomorrow. These stormy freeze thaw cycles are likely to be forming lots of ice high on Ben Nevis.
