After the thaw

2nd January 2015

Today I headed back up Ben Nevis to see how much snow and ice had survived yesterdays tropical downpour. A few ice line remain complete, and I am sure ice would have been building through the day. The snowpack seems to have taken a bit of a battering with the surface of the old snow now frozen hard. There were some snow showers through the day, but the snow just seemed to blow around in the air and fresh deposits were not extensive.

Looking up Observatory Gully. Some ice lines complete.
