After the Flood

A significant change in the weather today. After yesterday’s mild and epically wet conditions, it was a cool and relatively dry day today. The existing snowpack has unsurprisingly taken a bit of a hit in the mild wet conditions and what is left is very hard and icy. There was a dusting of fresh snow around, but nothing significant. Looks like more of the same tomorrow.
There is still a fair bit of water about from yesterday, and the ground tends to be wet and soft at all but the highest levels. However, it is quite cold, and there is some ice forming where it get the chance such as these plants.
The summit plateau, is quite icy with a few patches of older firmer snow.
