Cold and Dry
1st December 2021
Today was sort of the opposite of yesterday; cold and dry compared to warm and wet. There was a very slight dusting of fresh snow overnight. With a stiff breeze and a midday temperature of around minus five it was feeling pretty chilly on the tops. However, despite the generally cold temperatures we have been experiencing over the last week or so, the ground did not feel at all frozen today, and there was no ice yet on the Lochans in Coire an Lochan. This is due to a generally mild October and November.
The Aonach Mor summit temperature over the last five days. Although it has has been pretty cold at times, the ground is not at all frozen.
