Milder than of late.

It was a lot milder today than it has been recently. There was some heavy rain at all levels during the night, but fortunately there was only a few showers during the time I was on the hill. However, it was pretty cloudy, and I was not able to see much. The deep, soft and wet snow made for some pretty hard walking conditions.
Beware many of the tracks and the carparks are pretty slippery at the moment. I did a one point make a unplanned and rapid descent into an icy puddle.
A fair bit of water in the burns due to the mild temperatures and overnight rain.
The snowpack is now pretty wet.
Higher up the hill visibility was poor (although it did clear up later in the day).
The view at 850 metres, not so great.
