Cold and dry

28th February 2026

It was a cold, dry day with moderate Southerly winds. I headed up Carn Dearg Meadhonach today and got some good views before some cloud moved in mid-morning. The snowpack is mainly very firm and stable with areas of softer snow and windslab being thin and isolated.
