A little new snow

23rd March 2025

Today there was a thin (1 cm) covering of new snow above about 1000m. The freezing level was around 1100m, but is going to rise well above the summits again tomorrow morning so this new snow will be short-lived. Poor visibility above 750m prevented any wider view photos.

(Above) The first new snow I encountered at around 930m.

(Above) Looking along the top of the West Face of Aonach Mor at around 1030m.

(Above) Aonach Mor summit plateau (1190m).
