Aonach Mor

While it is starting to feel a little spring like at sea level it felt quite wintery in the mountains today with wind redistribution of lying snow noticeable above around 900 metres. The scoured ridges made for easier upwards progress on foot but there is enough snow in the more sheltered locations that ski touring was a reasonable option on Aonach Mor today. The cloud base was just below summit level on Aonach Mor today while I was there and Ben Nevis summit appeared to be in the cloud all day. Not perfect for photos but some showing what could be seen below.
