Mild, but at least it was Dry.

14th January 2025

It was another mild day in Lochaber. However, it was generally dry, the winds were lighter than yesterday which made for a relatively pleasant day. Unfortunately, there is just not very much snow remaining in Lochaber. This is mainly as there was just not very much snow a few days ago, or at any point so far this winter. This season so far it has generally been either mild and wet, or cold and dry. Although I have not checked this, I suspect overall the temperature and the precipitation amounts so far this season have not been out the ordinary. However, the order and combination these things have occurred means that even on the higher Lochaber hills the snowpack is distinctly patchy as todays photos from the Ben show. Looking at remaining mild the next couple of days, but hopefully it should at least be generally dry.
