A return to thaw conditions

23rd December 2024

After a dry start to the day the forecast temperature rise happened earlier than expected. Precipitation soon turned to rain at all levels as thaw conditions set in once again. Photos were taken in the spell of dry and colder weather first thing this morning, so may show better conditions than those who were out later experienced. Thaw conditions are set to last a few days this time, with snow cover expected to rapidly diminish. Some optimism for colder conditions to return towards the end of the year.
