A sunny day to end the forecasting season

15th April 2023

Today was a clear sunny day to end the forecasting season. Pictures show current snow cover and cornices on Ben Nevis. The snowpack is currently thawing and consolidating and the weather is forecast to be stable for the next few days. Forecasting resumes for next winter in mid December with a standby service if required before that.
