Soft snow

8th March 2023

After several days with cold temperatures, light winds and occasional light snow showers there is a layer of soft snow on all aspects, generally getting deeper with altitude. There was just enough wind in the gusts today to start redistributing this snow but currently the areas of fresh windslab that this has created are very shallow and isolated. As the wind increases tomorrow further redistribution will cause this windslab hazard to increase.
