Winter has been paused

25th January 2019

The freezing level was above the summits this morning, dropping to just below summit level in the afternoon. Below around 900 metres there is a significant reduction in snow cover but higher up reasonable snow cover remains. Poor visibility today so not the best photos.

Looking ahead, tomorrow is warm again but colder conditions should return tomorrow night and it should then remain cold for several days.

Reasonable snow cover remaining on a North aspect at 1000 metres.
