Windy and getting windier.

13th January 2020

With the forecast suggesting gusts of 100 mph this afternoon I headed out fairly early today. There were still strong Southerly winds and although it stayed dry there was a lot of redistribution of the existing snow. The heavy snow arrived as forecast in the afternoon.

Snow accumulating fairly quickly on a North aspect at 1000 metres this morning.

Looking down the Goose at Nevis Range. Snow cover improving here mainly in the lee of fences and in hollows.
