Winter has stopped

26th January 2019

Not too much snow was lost in yesterdays warm weather but overnight and this morning it was even warmer and combined with heavy rain has resulted in a considerable loss of snow.

On the good side it is snowing at higher levels this afternoon and the forecast is for cold weather for several days.

The Allt a’ Mhuilinn in spate from rain and snow melt.

The bottom of North-East Buttress on the left and the Douglas Boulder on the right both looking black.

Looking into Coire na Ciste with the CIC hut in the foreground.

Some ice remaining on the Curtain.

Black rocks on the Carn Mor Dearg Arete. A couple of walkers are visible.

Looking towards Observatory Gully. Two more people here.
