Cold and windy

2nd April 2018

It was cold and windy but dry on the hill today. Quite a lot of snow was being moved by the wind although I didn’t find anywhere that it was being deposited in significant quantities.

Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis this morning.

Stob Coire a’ Chairn and Sgurr a’ Mhaim.

Looking into Coire an Lochan, Aonach Mor. Cloud was coming and going at summit level.

There are still lots of large cornices especially above steep North through East to South-East aspects. These are mostly formed of old frozen snow but I wouldn’t want to stand on them.

Looking down Rush on the West face of Aonach Mor…

…and looking back up Rush.

Looking up the Allt Daim to the col between Aonach Mor and Carn Mor Dearg.
