Breezy on the Ben.

6th April 2018

It was quite a breezy day on the Ben today. There were a few light showers which fell as snow above around 750 metrtes. It was quite reasonable going up to the CIC hut, but above that soft and slightly damp snow made the going a bit harder.

Looking up to the CIC hut. Plenty of snow with the little gorge on the left being pretty well filled with snow.

Carn Dearg. Still a reasonable amount of ice around. However, I suspect that this might become a bit drippy and, in some cases, prone to collapse in the milder conditions expected over the next few days.

Looking up into Coire na Ciste.
